We’ve meticulously researched every detail in our packaging to ensure it follows our sustainability principles of being 100% biodegradable and sustainably sourced. Our packaging was therefore designed to meet our requirements in being zero waste and minimal (you won’t find unnecessary large glossy inserts or clunky boxes here), while still being protective and adhering to our strict design standards. We know there are areas to improve upon, so we want you to know that we're continuously looking for better, more sustainable options as they are made available.

Here are the results of our research:

Mailers

Our mailers are made in the USA with 100% recycled paper (97% post-consumer waste). They are curbside recyclable & naturally biodegradable and are printed with Algae Ink™. Algae Ink™ is a revolutionary non-fossil fuel-based ink that is safer and cleaner to work with, and more compatible with the recycling and composting process. Algae Ink is a net negative carbon technology, with each bucket of ink sequestering the same carbon as two trees.

Glassine Bags

Made from 100% FCS certified paper, our glassine bags are our better answer to the polybag. They contain no silicone, poly additives, or coatings.

They are naturally biodegradable, curbside recyclable, and are durable enough to use throughout our supply chain from factory to our consumer.

Hang Tags and (modestly-sized) Inserts

Our hangtags and card inserts are made in the USA from 100% recycled T-shirt offcuts – the stuff that normally gets thrown away. Our hangtags are then attached to our products with a 100% organic cotton ribbon. 

Dust Bags

Our dust bags are made in India from natural undyed cotton. While intended to safely store your NOUFŌV pieces, we've purposefully used unbranded bags so that they can be reused for anything- grocery items, toiletries, or even gift wrapping. They are meant to be reused, washed, and reused again and again and are 100% biodegradable.
